Dr. John T. Whitehead
is a Professor and
Graduate Coordinator in the Department of Criminal Justice & Criminology
at East Tennessee State University.
Dr. Whitehead completed his M.A. at
the University of Notre Dame
and earned his Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from SUNY-Albany.
He teaches classes in Criminal Justice Ethics, Corrections, and the Death Penalty.
He has written a book entitled Burnout
in Probations and
Corrections, co-authored a textbook on juvenile
justice entitled Juvenile
Justice, an Introduction (which is now in its fourth edition), and
co-authored a textbook on corrections entitled Exploring Corrections in America.
