Benefits of the Minor
The Environmental Studies minor is an interdisciplinary program
that incorporates perspectives from the humanities and social
sciences, as well as from the natural sciences. Students in the
minor learn to think broadly about environmental issues,
controversies, problems, and solutions.
The minor provides a good supplement to a major course of study
in a more traditionally defined discipline.
ETSU students who have graduated with the minor have gone on to
work in a variety of areas, including business, education, parks
and recreation, and environmental activism.
