The Student Sculpture Society is the official student organization representing the interests of student sculptors on the ETSU campus. The organization has sponsored numerous field trips over the years, from attendance at conferences to museum and gallery trips. We have also sponsored numerous on campus and community wide sculpture activities.

 We have traveled to New York, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Providence, Raleigh, and many regional cities, all for the purpose of looking at sculpture.  The group has also written grants to fund visiting artists including Paige Davis, Hoss Haley, Steve Bickley, Tim Kaulen, and Melissa Caudell.

The Student Sculpture Society is hoping to sponsor a spring break or May term trip to Storm King Sculpture Park and NYC in 2008; they are also planning to write a grant to support the exhibition of the work 5 well known regional sculptors in the summer and fall, 2008, to coincide with ETSU’s hosting of the annual conference of TriStates Sculptors Education Association, in October, 2008.
