Visitor, Disabled, and Special Events Parking
Responding to the ever-shifting campus environment and suggestions from several segments of the campus population, the Parking, Traffic and Security Committee has recommended, and President Stanton has approved, several changes in our parking regulations which have been implemented since the new brochures were printed.
Please note the following changes are effective immediately. For your convenience, the online version of the regulations (including the parking map) has been updated to reflect these changes.
- Lot 22, along State of Franklin Road below Warf-Pickel Hall, has been redesignated as “open” or undesignated parking. This means that any vehicle with a valid and properly displayed faculty/staff or student parking permit is acceptable for parking in this lot. The major change is the elimination of the faculty/staff parking section at the East end of the lot.
- Lots 12, 15, 15a and 16, all located along J.L. Seehorn Road, have been redesignated as “open” or undesignated parking.
- A number of 20-minute parking spots in Lot 31 (North of Burgin E. Dossett Hall) have been redesignated for faculty/staff parking. Some short-term (20-minute) spaces remain. Please be cautious and observant when parking in this lot.
- All student parking in Lot 32 (South of Burgin E. Dossett Hall) has been relocated to the southeast corner of the lot across Lake Street and reclaimed from Car Pool Parking (the end closest to Rogers-Stout Hall). Please be cautious and observant when using these spaces because only a portion of the Car Pool spaces have been redesignated. Car Pool Permits are still required for spaces in this lot designated for this special purpose. The only student parking now permitted in Lot 32 is in handicapped or 20-minute parking spaces designated as such
- A number of spaces have been designated for Faculty/Staff Parking in Lot 21, below Warf-Pickel Hall, at the South end of the tennis courts. Some of these spaces were formerly designated for student parking.
