Two types of permits are available
to both students and faculty/staff. One is a portable static cling
permit, and the other is a self-adhesive permit for permanent placement
on the vehicle. In either case the permit must be displayed on
the lower left side of the rear windscreen of the vehicle, directly
behind the driver and plainly visible from the rear of the vehicle.
Those whose vehicles do not have a glass rear windscreen i.e.,
Jeeps, convertibles, and similar vehicles (and only such vehicles)
will be allowed to affix the permit to the rear bumper directly
behind the driver or on the upper center of the front windscreen.
Those whose vehicles have tinted windows, or any other condition
which might hinder clear visibility of the parking permit, are
strongly urged to select the adhesive sticker for exterior display.
Persons must purchase a permit for each registered vehicle with
the exception of a motorcycle. Persons who wish to register a vehicle
and a motorcycle will pay a single vehicle registration fee. Both
the vehicle and the motorcycle registered to one individual cannot
be parked on campus at the same time. The parking permit for motorcycles
is to be permanently attached to the rear fender. Persons may purchase
one permit only except for motorcycle registration.
HELPFUL HINT: During cold winter months when transferring
the static cling decal from car to car, take the decal
into a warm environment and rub on wool to regenerate the
static on the decal or dip in warm water.
