Dr. Alison L. Barton
Assistant Professor, Human Development and
Learning
Alison Barton received her M.A. in Clinical Psychology and her Ph.D. in School Psychology from Northern Illinois University. After graduation, she worked as a school psychologist in Western Kentucky and a psychological test administrator in Southwest Virginia before becoming a professor in Human Development and Learning in 2005. Alison teaches educational psychology strategies to graduate-level education students, and sees the applicability of many of these same strategies at the college level.
