He acted as if he did not know what I could possibly be talking about. Rico always looks at me that way.
He jumped in the car, gave a slick wink to Zeke, and off we were. We were both so tired from our drive.
All we wanted to do was get a drink and find a nice little hotel to rest our heads for the night. The
highway can get so monotonous that I often find myself falling into that state of "highway hypnosis."
You know, where all the lines in the road come together into one line. It can get really scary. Finally
we saw something that appeared to look like some life. Streetlights, Christmas decorations, people on the
sidewalk we were coming into a little town called Savannah.

"Where the hell are we, Mayberry?" Rico shouted. "Lizzy, would you look at this place!" I thought it looked
quaint, like a place I would really like to relax and get a drink. Rico suggested that we just find someone
to ask where we can find a bar or something.

"Excuse me, Miss." Rico said in his suave manor as he rolled down the window. "Can you please tell us where
we can have a drink and get warm?"

"Is that all you need?" she said in a sexy tone. "Is there anything else that I can help you with?" She said
as she gave Rico a patented Marilyn Monroe wink. This young vixen called herself Nat.

"No, nothing else- just directions." Rico mumbled. Nat obviously had other intentions.

"Ya." Nat answered. "Take a right at the next red light and there is a little hotel on the left where everyone
around here seems to enjoy going. Don't ask me why, though. I think this town is full of a bunch of deadbeats!"
She seemed to have lost her Marilyn Monroe sex appeal as she walked way obviously disgusted at the how her evening
was unraveling.

"Oh, look Rico!" I said. "Look at that adorable little hotel." It was the cutest thing I had ever seen.

"Lizzy, I am not staying at a place called The Dandelion Inn!" Rico announced. He can be such a hard-nose sometimes.
His bark is really worse than his bite, if you know what I mean.

"Rico, just park the car. Please!" I pleaded. "I am tired and cold and I need a drink. Come on; let's go inside. It
can't be too bad."

We walked in and I was in heaven. This place was absolutely out of a fairytale. A beautiful chandelier hanging in the lobby,
beautiful hardwood floors and ceilings everywhere. The soft music playing with the crackling of the wood in the gigantic fireplace
was enough to make me want to give up everything and live there all my life. I could tell Rico wanted to gag. "Come on, Rico" I
said with a grin. "Let's go to the bar and have a drink. That will settle us."

Well, this place definitely seemed like the place to be. The bar was packed with people - obviously locals. Rico spotted two
seats up at the bar and snagged them quickly. (I could tell where his priorities were.) I was still standing in the doorway in
awe of the beauty and elegance of The Dandelion Inn.

"Oh, excuse me. I'm sorry. Gosh, I'm such a klutz sometimes." Apologized a quite large man with mysterious looking eyes. He
should be sorry; he interrupted my daydream.

"That's okay." I said as politely as I could. "No harm done. I am just going to go over there and sit with my friend."

"No! Wait!" He said hastily. "Can I buy you a drink? Wait. First of all, my name is Bo. I really am sorry that I bumped
into you like that, but it is not too often that we see new faces in this bar. It is kinda nice."

"Look." I said nicely. " I am here with a friend strictly on business, so I am going to have to pass on the drink. I'm sorry."

"Business! What kind of business do you do?" He sounded curious.

Oh, lord! Rico and I had not discussed this yet. We had not discussed what we were to say if someone started asking questions. What am I going to tell him? Surely I cannot tell him that my partner and I are con-artists and we take pride in stealing you blind. I don't think that would go over too well. Especially since I have plans to stay in this town whether Rico wants to or not!
