I was just about ready to fire up a bowl and chill a little, when Sara said, "Uh, Ari I don't know if you noticed, but the man that was stabbed handed me this." In her hand she had a red box.
She handed the box to me and I asked, "What is it?"
Sara replied, "I don't know. Open it."
I opened it to find a plain black floppy disk. Sara continued on saying, "When I was trying to help that man, he told me that someone was trying to kill him, because they found out he knew something. He said for me to protect the disk."
"Hm... I wonder what he was talking about? Some sort of drug deal?" I wondered.
Sara said, "I think we better call the police. But, I don't want to tell them just yet that I have the disk, not until we find out a little more. I think I atleast owe that to the man."
I agreed.
So, we took off in search of food and booze. We started at the Crocodile Cafe. We ate and drank awhile, and I suggested we find a computer to read the disk's contents.
"Maybe," I said, "we will run into someone at a club with a computer."
We went back to the hotel and got ready to go clubbing. We decided to go to Mac's Bar. It was pretty cool and almost immediately some nerd was hitting on me. His name was Al, and he didn't seem to be good for anything more than a free drink. But his friend, Seth, did have some hash. I thanked him for the chunk he broke off for me and tried to dissipate in the crowd, before they expected something in return.
As I rushed off away from them, I ran smack into the most beautiful man I had ever seen, and I spilled my drink all over his shoes. "I'm so sorry! I'm Ari, can I get you a towel or something?" I stuttered.
Instead off being mad, he smiled and said, "That's alright these are old shoes anyway. Can I buy you another drink, Beautiful, uh, I mean, Ari?"
"Why yes, you may. What did you say your name was?" I asked.
"Thomas, and I am at your service." he replied.
Well, that was all I needed to hear. He bought my drinks all night and danced like Travolta. It was turning into a great trip. Sara came upon us in a passionate kiss and she said, "Having a good time?"
I laughed and introduced Thomas to her. Thomas then asked, "Hey, Ari why don't you and your friend come to my friend Jerome's house. He is having a party at his beach house."
Sounded good to Sara, and me, but we had to go to the bathroom first. We agreed to meet Thomas at the front door. On the way out of the bathroom, two men grabbed us. One of them asked, "Where's the disk?"
We reacted quickly and kicked until we got away from them. We ran outside, where Thomas was
waiting outside for us. We jumped in and told Thomas to go.
