Mission Statement

The mission of the Office of Equity and Diversity is to ensure that the University is fully in accord that educational and employment opportunities are available to all eligible persons without regard to race, creed, color, sex, religion, age, national origin, disabilities, veteran status or sexual orientation, and to monitor and coordinate the provisions of the Geier Consent Decree. The Office of Equity and Diversity promotes an environment where people honor one another as individuals, value differences and the special gifts each of us bring to the community, and respect the right of others as human beings inclusive of race, gender, ethnicity, cultural background, sexual orientation, class, age, disability, religion and national origin.
