Discover Program
The Office of Equity and Diversity sponsors a recruitment program called DISCOVER ETSU. Each year East Tennessee State University continues to seek new ways to spark interest in students across the region, state, and county to attend college. Through several programs that ETSU offers for high school students, we have encouraged countless students to further their education. DISCOVER ETSU is one of those programs.
DISCOVER ETSU is a program that invites 11th and 12th grade High School students from Historically Underrepresented Groups onto campus for a weekend in the Fall and Spring. The seniors will participate in the Fall and the juniors in the Spring. The participants will get a tour of our campus and get to meet other Faculty and Staff members from several departments across our campus. Students will get to hear formal presentations from the ETSU Staff about:
Admissions
Financial Aid
Scholarships
Housing
Campus Life
The DISCOVER ETSU program is FREE of charge to the students and their guest. We will provide hotel accommodations for out-of-town guest on the Friday evening of the weekend program (limited availability). We will only provide one room per family. Local high school students are welcome and encourage to attend as well.
