JOHNSON CITY – An Open House is planned for East Tennessee State University's new Faculty Mentoring Center (FMC) on Tuesday, Jan. 29, from 2-4:30 p.m.

The FMC, operated by the office of distance education in the ETSU School of Continuing Studies, is located in the lower level of Yoakley Hall.

The FMC works one-on-one with faculty in using technology to improve online instruction, develops online faculty training modules, develops training on the appropriate use of multimedia in Web-based instruction, develops training on other Web-based resources, and conducts sessions to help students succeed in Web-based and Web-enhanced courses.

The FMC Open House is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided, and door prizes will be awarded. To reach the FMC, enter Yoakley Hall on the east end and follow the blue signs; Yoakley Hall, located on Dossett Drive, is the second building west of the D.P.
