![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ETSU's Film Studies Minor requires twenty-one hours of course work. A twelve-hour core is required of all minors. Students may select nine hours of elective courses to complete the minor course of study. Students must make certain they fulfill prerequisite requirements for courses; for example, the English Department requires that students complete ENGL 1010 and 1020 ("Critical Reading and Expository Writing" and "Critical Thinking and Argumentation") or equivalents prior to taking upper-division English courses. Check your catalog to learn other prerequisites. Required Core (twelve hours)
Guided Electives (nine hours required from the following courses)*
Note: Broadcast Practicum (RTVF 4680) may be elected by students with a special interest in production and may be applied to any of the above disciplines. Broadcast Practicum counts above and beyond minor requirements. It can count as an elective. *With the approval of the Film Studies Committee, additional special topics courses may be counted in the minor; however, no courses counting toward the student's major may be counted toward satisfying the minor's requirements. To learn more about the film studies minor, please contact Professor Mary Hurd (Hurd@etsu.edu) or (423) 439-5897. |
