Welcome
. . .
to the web site of ETSU's general education program!
There's something here for everyone:
-
Students
and parents
can read ETSU's
requirements, learn about the benefits of general education
and find out how to get person-to-person answers to questions.
-
Faculty
will find resources for developing and teaching general education
courses and advising students about general education requirements.
-
Evidence
of student success shows how ETSU tracks progress toward
its general education goals and presents recent data on what
our students are learning.
-
A quote
from Merlin offers inspiring words about learning and growing
for a lifetime.
News!
Starting fall
2007 HUMT 2310 and 2320, Arts and Ideas I and II, will fulfill the
Fine Arts portion of the Humanities and Fine Arts requirement.
Students graduating under the 2007-08 catalog or thereafter may use
one of these courses to satisfy this requirement. Students
graduating under earlier catalogs may also use them to satisfy the
Fine Arts requirement or (as was previously the case) to meet
the Humanities requirement in the Humanities and Fine Arts category.
ETSU's General
Education Advisory Council has revised
rules regarding proficiency-intensive course requirements for
students with associate degrees, transfer students and re-admission
students.
