Education Core Course Proposal
Form
DEADLINE
The
GEAC receives proposals
to add or remove courses
to the general education
core throughout the academic
year. However, to meet
the February 1 deadline
for changes to the catalog,
departments making course
proposals to be effective
for fall of the next academic
year should ordinarily
submit a proposal no later
than September
15 of the previous year.
DIRECTIONS
FOR COMPLETING AND SUBMITTING
THE FORM

If you are using Internet
Explorer the form will
open in your browser;
if you use Netscape,
the form will open
on your computer in
Microsoft Word.

Save the blank document
on your computer (File/Save
As in the Internet
Explorer browser toolbar).
Navigate within the
Save As window
to save your document
in a location you will
remember and note the
location of the file.

Click on the first
gray text field in
the document and begin
typing. The text area
will expand to fit
the amount of text
you enter.

Tab to each consecutive
text area and enter
text until the form
is complete. When the
form is complete, save
the file again.

Send one hard copy
of the form with the
necessary signatures
to Bill Kirkwood, Academic
Affairs, 70733. Also,
email the form (as
an attachment) to kirkwood@mail.etsu.edu,
so we can distribute
paperless copies to
the GEAC.
