Mathlab (http://www.etsu.edu/math/mathlab.htm)

The Mathlab is located in rooms 308 and 309 of Warf-Pickel Hall. Students can walk in any time during operating hours and get help with most math classes from qualified tutors. Tutors can aid in formulating study plans for those without an understanding of how to study math. The Mathlab also offers computer tutorials for all algebra classes. Call 439-7611. The Math Hotline is 439-7887 (for short questions).

Writing and Communication Center (http://www.etsu.edu/wcc)

The Writing and Communication Center (WCC), room 409 Warf-Pickel, offers individual assistance to beginning, intermediate, and advanced writers and speakers.  Peer tutors can provide assistance with all stages of the communication process, from generating topics to organizing ideas and from developing a thesis to polishing a final product. Students should bring an assignment sheet or notes describing the assignment for which they are requesting assistance. They should plan on spending from 30 to 50 minutes in a consulting session.  Appointments are encouraged, but not required; call 439-8202.

The Center also supports faculty teaching oral communication-intensive and writing-intensive courses. Call 439-8202 for information about upcoming faculty development programs or to request assistance with specific instructional needs related to teaching oral communication and writing.

Teaching and Learning Center (http://www.etsu.edu/tlc)

ETSU's Teaching and Learning Center supports the efforts of individual faculty and groups seeking to improve instruction and student learning. Call 439-8300 for information on upcoming faculty development programs or to request individualized consultation.
