Graduate Assistantship Spring 2010
Academic Technology and the Office of eLearning and Online Education

Job Description:

Graduate Assistants will have daily contact with faculty and staff.  Primary duties include:

• Assist with facilitating technology workshops
• Conduct training sessions in the Multimedia Classrooms
• Assist faculty and staff with specific technology needs
• Assist with the development of training aids
• Assist faculty with the digitization of materials including VHS to DVD, AVI, etc.
• Answer the main department phone in a professional manner
• Other duties as assigned

Skills Required:

• Ability to work with faculty and staff
• Ability to work as a team and independently.
• Familiarity with Office products necessary. 
• Familiarity with D2L, Adobe products, digital media beneficial, and general office knowledge beneficial.

*Note* Position available only to a new graduate student who has been accepted into a graduate program at ETSU and is beginning his or her graduate course work January 2010.

Contract dates: January 4-May 15, 2010.

Required qualifications:

1. Native or near-native fluency in Spanish for translation/interpretation work.
2. Good work habits, telephone manners, computer and organizational skills.
3. Ability to work well with others in a teamwork environment.
