General Admission Requirements
for the School of Graduate Studies

The following standards and materials are required of all applicants regardless of program.

1. A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution. Degrees from non-accredited institutions will be evaluated on an individual basis.
2. An undergraduate GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale *(some programs require a higher GPA)
3. A completed application form.
4. A personal essay of 150-300 words, detailing your interests in a graduate program at ETSU.
5. A non-refundable application fee of $25 ($ 35 for international students).
6. One official transcript from every college or university where the applicant has taken courses.

 *All references to GPA in this document are based on a 4.0 scale; all references to credit hours are based on semesters.
