Other Fossil Sites

Pipe Creek Local Fauna - Significant because it is so similar in age, geographically close to our site, yet has a different faunal composition.

Artist's rendition of the site. *Karen Carr is also doing the illustrations for our new Museum!
Home Page created by the Botanist working on the site
Pipe Creek Sinkhole - created by some of the Ed McDonald and Mike Walter with the help of Jim Farlow.

Mammoth Site - Near Hot Springs, South Dakota. The geologic history of this site is similar to that of the Gray Fossil Site.

Thomas Farm, Florida - One of the most significant vertebrate sites in eastern North America. This "fossil" sinkhole was discovered in 1931 and contains early Miocene horses, reptiles, bats, and many others.
