Award: Up to $50,000 per year
for a maximum of six years of graduate study.
Eligibility:
Applicants must have an Undergraduate GPA of 3.5 or
higher and have graduated from a four-year US college or
university
before study under the scholarship is to begin but not
more than five years previously.
While applications are first and foremost judged on the basis of
academic excellence, applicants must also demonstrate that their
proposed graduate study will result in unmet financial need.
When to Apply: Applications are
usually due to the faculty representative by late January.
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship
is designed to assist well-qualified but economically
disadvantaged scholars fulfill their desire obtain a graduate
degree. Each year, the Foundation grants approximately 50
graduate fellowships to students who evidence exceptional
academic and extra-curricular achievements but who lack the
financial means to continue their education. While the length of
the scholarship period varies, the Foundation is interested in
providing full support for recipients throughout their degree
program (for a maximum of six years).
