Hello and Welcome Alumni and Friends of
East Tennessee State University's Honors College!
We're glad that you came back to visit with us
and see what is happening. We've grown since our first
graduating class of 11 in 1997 and we would like to hear from
you. The Honors College is working hard to keep track of our
alum of all our programs. If you are an alum, please let
us know how you are doing. Have you made those trips to the far
corners of the world or even outer space? How many children
do you have and tell us about your families? Have you
captured that perfect job? Even if it is just to update your
contact information please let us know. Take our
Alumni Update Survey and tell us
just exactly what you have been doing. You are important
to us. We would love to hear from you!
Our REUNION for all Honor
College students scheduled October 19-20 (Friday and
Saturday), 2007 has been cancelled. Please click
here for more information.
We’re growing — in quantity and quality — and
so are our needs. Just as when you were here, The Honors College at ETSU offers programs and opportunities
designed to bring an Honors experience to the education of
undergraduate students across our campus. The success of the
Honors College depends on our ability to encourage and support
students, and we need your support to give them the opportunities
to succeed. Ultimately, these opportunities depend on private
support from individuals, organizations, and you!
If you’d like to know more about exactly what
we are doing and striving to accomplish, I’ve provided a link to
a powerpoint presentation
with our Strategic Plans & Update from March 2006, used to
report to Academic & President’s councils here at ETSU.
Your participation in the Honors College
doesn't have to end with your graduation from East Tennessee
State University. If you’re an alum, welcome back and this won’t
be the first time you will hear about the satisfaction of giving
back to your alma mater. If you’re a parent or a friend of the
Honors College, welcome and your help is just as valuable.
The support and involvement of our alumni and friends is greatly
valued by the University and supporting Honors College students
is not difficult. A contribution, large or small, is all it
takes. With your help, anything is possible. We will all benefit
as the students benefit.
