You’re already part of our ETSU family and now the Honors College can offer programs and opportunities designed to bring an Honors experience to your undergraduate education. We’re here to encourage you to take your studies beyond the classroom, to pursue higher academic goals, and to support and recognize your efforts.

As a current ETSU student, did you know that you can:

• Join one of the many Honors-in-Discipline programs offered in a variety of academic disciplines and compete for an honors scholarship?

• Obtain a grant to undertake an Undergraduate Research & Creative project with a Faculty Mentor? An experience that will give you:
• a “hands-on” experience in your field,
• greater in-depth understanding in what you are studying,
• help you develop and hone those skills necessary to your field of study and your future job,
• guide your decision about future studies or your future,
• show others you can complete a major project in your field and
• have a major project that shows you are capable in our field.

• Use your Undergraduate Research & Creative project as part of the requirements to achieve special recognition at graduation? Keep an eye on our web site as the requirements for this distinction are further developed and approved.

• Participate in a Study Abroad, National or International Exchange experience?
   
• Combine your efforts -- study abroad while participating in undergraduate research.  These programs are your chance to travel and learn. We are experts at helping ETSU students find the best opportunities to support both their career goals and degree completion.
   
• Enroll in specially designed Honors seminars and courses? Over the next few years, our faculty will be offering more honors-based courses in a variety of fields and interdisciplinary areas.
   
• Participate in an honors-enriched course for a unique educational opportunity.
