Studying
abroad gives students the opportunity to gain a broader appreciation
of cultures and people outside Tennessee and the United States.
Besides the numerous programs and opportunities that exist at ETSU,
there are also an infinite number of independent student abroad programs
available. Although these programs are not always as cost-effective
as ETSU-based programs, they do allow students to study in almost
in field in any country in the world.
The office of International
Programs and Services has publications available in our Study Abroad
Library in 122 Yoakley Hall and Maria Costa is available
to help guide ETSU Students through the application process. Students
can also consult sites such as www.planetedu.com for
study abroad opportunities.
Student Testimonial:
"My study abroad with ETSU directly helped me land
a great job after graduating. I was told specifically that it set
me apart from other candidates."
-John Tipton, exchange student to the University of Huddersfield,
England.
