Five East Tennessee State University
undergraduate students recently presented their research findings to
state legislators in Nashville as part of “Posters at the State
Capitol Day.” Afterward, they met with Tennessee Governor Phil
Bredesen.
The students and the titles of their research are:
· Quinton Carroll, “The Lived Experiences of RNs Working While in
Pain”
· Fran Chumney, “Privilege Awareness, Prejudice, and Stereotyping of
Ethnic Subcategories”
· Kaitlin Dodi, “The Effects of Diabetes on Cholinergic Nerve Fiber
Density in Mouse Hearts”
· Paul Giblock, “Panel Display: A Hardware/Software Case Study”
· Mike Phillips, “Modeling Self-Organization in Social Wasps”
The undergraduate research program is administered by the new ETSU
Honors College, but funding is not restricted to students in honors
programs. Grants provide support for projects and for travel to
professional meetings.
