Knightrider
Knightrider is an HP compute cluster acquired in 2011. This cluster is equipped with high-speed low-latency interconnect hardware, so it is better suited for highly scalable and communication-intensive applications. According to Linpack benchmark, Knightrider cluster runs at 4 TFlops. Below are the specifications of this cluster:

- 1 master node (HP DL380 G7)
- Each node has:
- dual Intel Xeon X5650, 2.66 GHz processor
- 12 cores
- 48 GB memory
- As a total, cluster has 588 processing cores and 2.3 TB of memory

- 30 TB central storage on 10K SAS hard drives

Blackpearl
Blackpearl is a Dell compute cluster acquired in 2007. The compute nodes in this cluster have high clock speeds, so it is better suited for serial and less communication-intensive applications. Below are the specifications of this cluster:
- 60 compute nodes (Dell Poweredge 1955)
- 1 master node (Dell Poweredge 2950)
- Each node has:
- dual Intel Xeon X5160, 3.0 GHz processor
- 4 cores
- 4 GB memory
- As a total, cluster has 240 processing cores and 240 GB of memory

- 1 Gigabit Ethernet
- Storage:
- 4 TB central storage on 15K SAS hard drives
- 80 GB local storage on compute nodes
