EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE: Dr. Dorman Stout, Chair
Dr. Stout announced that all was going well with Mr. Harold Johnson, Secretary.
He hopes to be home by the annual picnic, June
Dr. Stout stated that Dr. Paxton inquired as to what constitutes a “teaser”
regarding the “Tales of the University”? A draft is expected by the annual
meeting in October
MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE: Dr. Barbara Humphrys, Chair
Dr. Humphrys reported that her committee was working diligently to enlist ten (
FINANCE COMMITTEE: Ms. Betty Tester, Chair
Ms. Tester distributed the Financial Report which showed an Operating Fund of $
PROGRAM COMMITTEE: Ms. Betty Moore, Chair
All is finalized for the annual picnic June
For the annual meeting in October, the slide show presentation will not be a part of the program due to the photographer’s schedule conflict. Ms. Mary Ward will make a presentation on the Health Information Orientation Program through the medical school (i.e., what is available, how to access it, etc.).
COMMUNICATION COMMITTEE: Dr. Harry Powell, Chair

SERVICE COMMITTEE: Dr. A. Keith Turkett
Dr. Turkett reported that his wife, Shirley Turkett, would chair the committee. He solicited ideas from the group. These were good starting points:
(1) Find out what the university thinks they need in terms of what ETSURA may provide.
(2) What can ETSURA provide and will the retirees be willing to help?
(3) Establish rapport between the medical school and retirees.
OTHER BUSINESS:
Dr. Stout and members of the Board expressed continuing concerns over the health status and well-being of several of our members. Please keep them in your thoughts.
Appreciation was expressed to Diana, Donna, Mr. Coleman, and Jeff Anderson for their continuous support and assistance to ETSURA.
