Training Manager

Graduate Assistant

Richard Ashley joined ETSU’s Human Resources staff on September 1, 2004 after relocating from Tallahassee, FL to Mars Hill, NC.  A native of Quincy, FL, he received a B.S. degree from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, an M.S. degree from Georgia Tech, and is a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.  He served on the Staff and Faculty at the Military Academy for eight years, and as Professor of Military Science at the University of California, Berkeley.  Retiring after twenty-five years in the Army, he served eleven years as Training Manager and Bureau Chief with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Danielle Bellone joined ETSU’s Employee Develoment Centerf on July 1, 2011. She is a francophile from the Gulf South whose superpowers include frying eggplant, constructing fascinators, and artfully defying gravity. She graduated in 2008 from Louisiana State University with a Bachelors in Theatre and is currently a graduate student at East Tennessee State University, pursuing a Masters in Storytelling. When not telling saucy folktales with gratuitous hand percussion, Danielle can be found turning ordinary students into test-taking ninjas, whipping up incredible South Indian curry, and attempting to train her incorrigible dog, Sufjan.
