People seemed pleased with the meal and with the program. The room is getting a bit small and perhaps we should consider moving to the ballroom.
Rick Carlson from TVA will bring a program on wind turbines. Dr. Herd is securing the “Centre” for a January meeting on a Tuesday or Thursday from 7:00 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. Dr. Herd has talked to the Johnson City Power Board and they may help financially. The program will be open to the general public. Dr. Herd is excited about this program.
Eat and Chat dates will be presented to the Board in January.
Tales of the University: Dr. Chelsea Sharp, Chair
The “tales” collected at the Fall alumni meeting are now being compiled and the ETSU archives will store them.

No report. However, President Tester noted the need to provide volunteer help at the basketball tournament on March 2, 3, and 4.
Liaison Committee: Dr. William Fisher, Chair
Dr. Fisher asked for money to offset the cost that our three representatives incurred while attending the Fall Creek Falls conference. Bill Miller moved and it was seconded by Chesla Sharp to pay the remaining half of the cost of the meeting room and the cost of gasoline: total approximately $60.00. The motion passed. President Tester suggested that the Finance Committee and the Executive Committee should study the sources of funds and make a recommendation of how to handle such requests in the future.
Dr. Fisher shared:
1. Website instructions for information on Medicare Part D.
2. Program agenda for the November 6 and 7 “First Annual Statewide Higher Education Retirees Group Meeting” held at Fall Creek Falls State Park.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 4:50 P.M. The next meeting will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at 3:30 P.M. in the University Advancement Conference Room.
