EXPECTATIONS
FOR ALL EMPLOYEES East Tennessee State University pursues its mission based

in training to assist in skilled labor. Performs other duties as assigned.
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED - Trains to assist Air Conditioning Mechanics, Carpenters, Electricians, Painters, Plumbers, or Steam and Chiller Operators. - Learns to use tools and equipment. - Learns to perform clean up and maintenance tasks. - Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES - Ability to read and write. - Ability to make simple arithmetic calculations. - Knowledge of use of simple hand tools. - Willingness to work. - Ability to learn routine work procedures. - Ability to attend to detail.
RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS Applicants possessing these qualifications have a good probability for
success in this class. However, applicants not possessing these qualifications
should apply if they believe their training and experience will enable
them to perform the work successfully. Mechanical reasoning; ability to
use tools; ability to read and write; ability to work with others; manual
dexterity; basic mathematical skills; willingness to work.
