Function of Position

Responsible to the Registrar for planning, organizing and supervising the university student registration; supervising staff, students and temporary employees who assist with registration; preparing class schedules; assigning academic classroom space; coordinating convocation; distributing registration/schedule information; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

-Plans, organizes and supervises the registration of students.

-Collects, edits, prints and maintains the schedule of classes.

-Supervises and assigns academic classroom space.

-Plans and coordinates physical arrangements for graduation.

-Supervises classified employees.

- Complies with all NCAA rules and regulations, and acknowledges this compliance as part of an annual evaluation process.

- Signs an NCAA Compliance Statement annually.

Secondary Functions

-Advises students with problems related to registration and schedule.

-Assists the Registrar with research, material preparation and dissemination.

-Participates in the development and maintenance of computer related systems.

-Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Abilities

-Knowledge of registration, schedule building, and space assignment procedures.

-Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

-Ability to research, prepare and disseminate information relating to office functions.

-Ability to relate to student registration and schedule problems.

-Ability to work with all levels of university staff.

Supervision Given and Received

Performs under general supervision.  Determines own methods of performing assigned work.  Supervises classified employees.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; three or more years of related experience.
