Function of Position

 

This position is responsible for managing the daily functions of the Office of Information Technology office and switchboard staff to ensure budget, clerical and switchboard functions are performed efficiently and with proper workflow.  Additionally, this position maintains the TAF accounts to adhere to budgetary expenditures and works with the Special Projects Manager to ensure expenditures are completed within allocated budget amounts and TBR guidelines. 

 

Essential Functions

 

Manages the office and budget functions within OIT.

-           Maintains TAF accounts and meets with Special Projects Manager to review expenditures and make any necessary corrections.

-           Serves as Banner Project “scheduler” to handle budget, reports, organize and track travel/functions, send Project reports to TBR, attend meeting, and work with WebPages.

-           Supervises nonexempt and support staff, including switchboard staff.

 

Secondary Functions

 

-        Assists with inventory.

-        Organizes special office related projects, i.e., special purchases.

-        Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

 

 

Knowledge and Abilities

 

-        Ability to organize and pay attention to detail.

-        Ability to use a PC and various software (Microsoft Outlook, Work, Excel, Project).

-        Ability to perform accounting and time management.

-        Ability to use a teamwork attitude and management skills.

-        Ability to coordinate all office functions.

 

 

Supervision Given and Received

 

Performs under general supervision.  Plans and arranges own work which is directed toward an established objective.  Supervises administrative and support staff.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

Bachelor's degree; 3 years experience; leadership and accounting classes.
