Function of Position
Oversees the University’s academic program policy and development and academic program and curricular development; manages required campus and state curricular and academic policy and guideline reviews and approvals; maintains academic inventories; serves as the University’s SACS Liaison (i.e., facilitates close and effective communication with SACS Commission on Colleges (COC), ensures that all required SACS reporting and notifications—e.g., re substantive change—are sufficient and timely, establishes documentation protocols to assure ongoing compliance with SACS Core Requirements, Comprehensive Standards, and Federal Requirements); supports the University’s strategic planning and accreditation compliance as a member of the University’s Planning Committee; facilitates specified ongoing and ad hoc operations for the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs; provides leadership for special projects; and oversees design and maintenance of specified University databases.

Reports to the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Minimum Qualifications
Earned terminal degree in appropriate discipline with a minimum of five years college teaching experience; five years experience in administration; substantial experience with SACS; and evidence of scholarly activity.
