Function of Position
Serves as a job developer and job retention specialist for Families First (TANF) clients. Activities will include visiting local industries and businesses, explaining the “work first” philosophy of Families First and establishing employment slots at these locations for program participants.
Essential Functions
- Manages clients on the job and monitors their retention in the job.
- Enters data.
Secondary Functions
- Coordinates support services for clients.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Abilities
- Ability to work with people having a wide range of abilities and competencies.
- Knowledge of area businesses and industries.
- Ability and knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software required.
Supervision Given and Received
Performs under general supervision.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required or in lieu of degree, three years experience with Families First program and/or staffing/employment agency; at least one year with Families First program or similar program, employment staffing agency or marketing.
