Function of Position

Responsible to the Manager of Fiscal Affairs and Operations for preparing and maintaining several program budgets; preparing monthly invoices to funding agencies; preparing financial reports; maintaining accounting system for two small non-profit organizations; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

-Prepares and maintaining program budgets.

-Prepares monthly invoices to funding agencies.

-Reconciles accounts.

-Prepares financial reports.

-Maintains accounting system for two small non-profit organizations.

Secondary Functions

-Maintains inventory for several programs in various locations.

-Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Abilities

-Knowledge of non-profit accounting principles.

-Knowledge of general accounting procedures.

-Knowledge of external funding procedures.

-Knowledge of computers and various software programs.

-Ability to communicate effectively.

-Ability to work with a variety of people.

Supervision Given and Received

Performs under general supervision.  Determines own methods of performing assigned work.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration required; at least one year administrative experience; experience with non-profit accounting highly desirable.
