Department of Labor iconThe Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) establishes minimum wage and overtime pay standards for full-time and part-time employees. The Wage and Hour Division (WHD) of the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) administers and enforces the FLSA.

Per the FLSA standard, covered, non-exempt employees must be paid at a rate of at least one and one-half times the employee’s regular rate of pay for each hour worked in excess of 40 hours in a 40-hour workweek. This webpage provides tools and guides to assist employees and supervisors monitor and track overtime.
