Web Services offers academic and administrative departments the ability to build websites with broad features and functions.
Accessibility is concerned with providing equal access to information, resources, and services to persons with disabilities or special needs. Unlike accommodations, accessible materials are built to provide equal access, as much as possible, prior to any formal request.
Companies and organizations which have many web pages in their website use content management systems to build and edit their webpages. A Content Management System is essentially a frame work which allows for the sharing of common elements across many different pages. This efficiency helps the web team locate, track and make changes to many pages in the ETSU web site very quickly. Visit the Web Technology Services website for more information.
Web Technology Services has purchased a web governance tool to help ETSU maintain and monitor our websites. This tool will help you identify your department website pages that have broken links and misspelled words. Each week the web administrator for your departments website will receive by email a report from Siteimprove with a list of errors that have been flagged on your website. This report will help you correct broken links and misspelled words.
ETSU offers online calendar of events that engages visitors and encourages them to download events to their personal calendar, sign up for event notifications and send event information to friends. Visit the Calendar webpage for more information.
The ETSU app delivers content, services, and features in a mobile friendly format
for your iPhone or Android mobile device.
On the spring board, you will find modules that with a click help you find your way around campus, link to mobile friendly ETSU services such as library catalogs, D2L and ETSU Live!, and keep you informed about campus events and more!
