![]() Mission and Summary The
Eastern Eight Community Development Corporation Inc. (EECDC) is a regional
not-for-profit partnership interested in promoting affordable housing.
Formally partnered with the Community Partnership Center (CPC) at ETSU,
EECDC represents the housing component of ETSU’s social service
continuum. EECDC is chartered
as a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) by the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). EECDC
provides housing services and technical assistance related to housing for
low-income households within eight counties of Northeast Tennessee:
Carter, Greene, Hancock, Hawkins, Johnson, Sullivan, Washington and
Unicoi. Services provided to these counties include housing
counseling, homeownership training, and housing development. EECDC
enables the region to access the levels of grant and loan funding
available. Lenders, realtors,
local governments, and other service agencies can each benefit from a
relationship with the EECDC in the creation of affordable and decent
housing.
