Central Appalachian Microenterprise Project

Would you like to
be your own boss?
Or create something that you own?
Or turn your
part-time talent into a full-time living?
Gain financial
independence, make your own decisions, and improve your self-confidence through
self-employment. In the Central Appalachian Microenterprise Program (CAMP)
training program, you'll set your goals and determine whether your business can
achieve them. You'll discover if your business can support you and your
family. You'll explore and build on your own personal strengths - all the
skills you need to get your business up and running.
Defining
Microenterprise
Definitions of
microenterprise vary. The maximum number of employees of microenterprises
from one to ten, most having less than five. Start-up capital needs vary,
generally not to exceed $25,000. Microenterprises may be sole
proprietorships, partnerships, family businesses, or corporations.
Microenterprise
Development
The Central
Appalachian Microenterprise Project can offer technical assistance, as well as
access to microenterprise loan funds. Technical assistance may take the
form of classroom training and/or individual counseling. Microenterprise
loan funds are structured to make loans to individuals much like traditional
bank lending model.
