The 11th Cumberland Conference on Combinatorics, Graph Theory, and Computing will be held at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee on May 14 - May 16, 1998. This regional conference is designed to bring together mathematicians and computer scientists for presentation of current topics and provide time for collaboration.

ETSU is located in Johnson City, Tennessee approximately 90 miles east of Knoxville. The region is rich with scenic mountians and streams and a treat for a geology or outdoors enthusiast. Several mountains are visible from the ETSU campus, including Buffalo Mountain (elevation 3217 feet) which contains Buffalo Mountain Park. Roan Mountain State Park is about a 30 minute drive from Johnson City and offers scenic views and hikng trails. The Great Smokey Mountain National Park is 60 miles southeast of Johnson City. In addition to natural beauty, the region also has a rich history. Jonesborough, the oldest town in Tennessee, lies 8 miles west of Johnson City, and the birthplace of Davy Crockett is another 10 miles west of there. These natural and historical assets of the area add to the attraction of attending the Cumberland Conference when hosted by ETSU.
