Scholarships and loans are available for the conscientious mathematics majors who are seeking support for their education. The Edward Stanley Scholarship, Wilson-Hartsell Scholarship, Faber-Neal Scholarship, and Depew Scholarship are scholarships designated for mathematics and science majors. These are usually awarded prior to the Fall semester. All candidates should apply to the Chair, Department of Mathematics. To encourage students to teach mathematics in the public schools of Tennessee, the Teacher Loan/Scholarship program has been instituted to cover tuition and fees at East Tennessee State University.
For meritorious students planning to major in mathematics. First year students must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.2 and ACT composite of 25. Renewable at the discretion of the selection committee if the student maintains a minimum 3.2 GPA.
For students majoring in mathematics who aspire to be teachers.
For sophomores majoring in mathematics.
For students majoring in mathematics.
A special fund has been established for the purpose of supporting math graduate student professional travel and other expenses deemed suitable by the Math Department graduate coordinator. Click HERE for more details.
