Methods
Homework will not be graded. However, the tests, quizzes and final exams
will reflect the problems in the homework. Quizzes may or may not be announced,
and will be either take-home or in-class, the majority being in-class assignments.
Any take-home assignments should be worked on individually without consulting
faculty members, other students or sources other than the textbook and
notes from the class. Write to Learn exercises are graded primarily
for grammar and mathematical clarity.
Policies
- Assignments may be turned in early but not late
- Student must be present at least half of the period in order for
work to be accepted
- Beverages are acceptable, but no food please as it can be distracting
- If a student must be absent for a reason approved by the instructor,
the final exam grade will substitute for any assignment occurring between
the instructor’s being notified and the student’s return to class.
