In this research project, we use the RNA tree graphs given by the RAG (http://monod.nyu.edu/rna/tutorials/rna_tutorials.html) to study the secondary structure of RNA molecules. It has been shown that several parameters defined by graphical invariants for all trees of order 6, 7 and 8 are indicative of secondary RNA structure. Part of this project will be to calculate the values of graphical invariants for the trees of order 9. The formula that we used to calculate Parameter one was Domination number + total domination number + allied domination number, and then divided by the number of vertices which was 9. For parameter two, we used locating domination number + differentiating domination number + second largest eigenvalue. These formulas are used to determine if the values between these parameters and the secondary RNA structure are still highly correlated. If the correlation is high, it may be used to predict the other secondary RNA structures.
