The McNair internship experience will provide ample opportunity for you to develop skills normally associated with students in advanced degree programs.  Rarely do undergraduate students participate in on-going research, collaborate with faculty members, publish professional papers, travel to professional conferences and network with leaders in their field.

However, McNair Scholars do all of those things and more!  Some benefits of the program are:

·                    A $2,300 dollar stipend payable to you in increments throughout your internship.

·                    A mentored research experience with faculty in your field of interest

·                    Seminars that will assist with technical writing, research statistics, and technology skill development

·                    Graduate Record Exam (GRE) preparation course and materials

·                    Paid educational travel opportunities, including professional conferences and graduate school visits.

·                    Use of a wireless laptop computer during your tenure as an intern

·                    Use of the McNair Scholar Resource Room and Computer Lab

·                    Receipt of various materials that will provide resources for your graduate school search and application

·                    Access to ETSU faculty and administration that will support your application to graduate school

·                    The opportunity to meet individuals from across the country and beyond!

·                    Entry into an elite organization of scholars that will remain accessible to you for a life-time!

·                    Paid Housing at an on-campus complex . (Certain restrictions apply)
