Leader Development and Assessment Course (4580) -
Leader Development and Assessment Course is for contracted cadets to attend between their MS III and MS IV years. This camp is 32 days of training and evaluations. This is probably the most important training Army ROTC cadets receive during their time in the ROTC program. Cadets are evaluated by officers and senior NCOs based on their ability to lead their peers and ability to handle stress the camp cadre throw at the them.
Successful completion of camp is necessary for a cadet to receive
a commission as a second lieutenant. Cadets spend most of their MS
III year training for this camp. Leader Development and Assessment
Course is held in Fort Lewis, WA during the summer and is a six credit hour course for Army ROTC cadets.
