JOHNSON CITY (July 16, 2013) – The Child Study Center at East Tennessee State University has openings beginning in early August for preschool children ages 2.5-5 years old.
The center is open to all members of the community, though preference is given to employees and students of ETSU.
Located at 2101 Signal Drive, the center offers a year-round program and is open 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Child Study Center has been accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children on a continuous basis since 1989.
According to director Beverly Wiginton, the Child Study Center strives to meet the needs of children by providing a safe, nurturing environment where they are encouraged to explore their interests through developmentally appropriate experiences and inquiry-based learning.
ETSU students who are eligible for the Federal Pell Grant may receive financial assistance with child care costs at the Child Study Center through a Child Care Access Means Parents in School program funded by the U.S. Department of Education.
