Rhythm & Roots day passes available at discount price for ETSU

JOHNSON CITY (September 19, 2013) -ETSU students, faculty and staff interested in attending the upcoming Rhythm and Roots Reunion in Bristol this weekend can purchase a day pass for Saturday, Sept. 21, for $20.    Tickets can be picked up at the Student Organization Resource Center (SORC). A valid ETSU ID must be presented, and the day pass is for Saturday, Sept. 21, only.

The Rhythm and Roots Reunion attracts thousands of people from across the United States who travel to the region to celebrate Bristol’s heritage as the “Birthplace of Country Music.”  More than 50 country, bluegrass, and gospel artists will perform, including Lucinda Williams, The David Mayfield Parade, and Spirit Family Reunion, as well as the ETSU Old Time Pride Band and the ETSU Bluegrass Band.  A full schedule of performances is available at www.bristolrhythm.com.

This discount is made possible through a partnership between the Birthplace of Country Music Alliance and the ETSU Division of Student Affairs. ETSU Online will provide a live stream of the Rhythm and Roots festivities at http://elearning.etsu.edu/brr/live.htm.
