JOHNSON CITY (April 1, 2014) — East Tennessee State University’s Charles C. Sherrod Library recently announced the three student workers who have been awarded Student Employee Scholarships.
Each $500 scholarship is funded by a donor and presented at an annual Scholarship Award Celebration. To be eligible for the award, students must be undergraduates employed at Sherrod Library for at least one semester and currently enrolled with at least a 3.0 grade point average.
Dean of Libraries Pat Van Zandt says, “Everyone at Sherrod Library is thrilled that we can offer some financial assistance to our valued student workers. We hope that these three scholarships will be the first of many more to come.”
The scholarship recipients, all seniors, are Shannon Reed of Morristown, who is a double major in biology and Spanish; Rachel Taylor, a public health major from Jonesborough; and Amberly Rogers of Chuckey, who is majoring in psychology.
