Innovation Lab helps launch Sensational Seasonings
Rob Batot and Chris Dagenhart

JOHNSON CITY (April 29) – With the help of East Tennessee State University’s Innovation Lab, Rob Batot, previously known as television meteorologist Rob Williams, and Chris Dagenhart have launched Sensational Seasonings, a gourmet seasonings company.

The company is introducing a line of artisanal food seasonings and meat rubs, including pork rub, Jamaican jerk seasoning and chicken seasoning. The products strive for healthier cooking by being low sodium or salt free and containing no MSG.

Dr. Audrey Depelteau, director of the Innovation Lab small business incubator, says, “Working with the company as an affiliate member has been very rewarding. Sensational Seasonings has a strong business model and has been accepted by Pick Tennessee Products, a site developed by the Tennessee Department of Agriculture.”

Sensational Seasonings products are available through selected retailers and by direct order through its website and other online venues. The company has partnered with Mize Farm and Garden in Gray as its first retail outlet.

More information and recipes are available at www.sensationalseasonings.com or contact Batot at 423-967-4101.
