College of Business and Technology to hold Business Taxes Seminar

JOHNSON CITY (July 14, 2017) – East Tennessee State University’s College of Business and Technology will host the 33rd annual Tennessee Business Taxes Seminar on Thursday, Aug. 3, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Millennium Centre.

The day provides an opportunity for professionals and tax practitioners to receive current, in-depth tax information from representatives of the seminar co-sponsors, including the Tennessee Department of Revenue.             Among the seminar topics are legislative updates, electronic tax filing and information on specific taxes, including business, unemployment, gift and inheritance, individual income, tangible personal property, sales and use, and franchise and excise taxes.

Those attending have the opportunity to receive immediate, authoritative answers to specific questions concerning individual businesses.

Upon request, participants will be given a complete list of registrants to assist with networking opportunities. Accountants may earn eight hours of CPE credit for participating, while attorneys may obtain CLE credit.

The seminar fee is $180 and covers a catered luncheon, refreshments and extensive materials.
