College of Nursing – Office of Practice – Executive Director of ETSU College of Nursing Community Health Centers (a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) network in East Tennessee) – Level 16 - 50050 Full-time position contingent upon grant funding This position may be an administrative or faculty appointment, dependent upon the qualifications of the applicant.  The FQHC system is a nationally recognized award-winning system that includes nurse-managed clinical sites that provide healthcare for elementary and high school students and community members in rural Hancock County, TN; and for the uninsured, underinsured, homeless and other underserved groups in Johnson City, TN.  The Community Health Center network is a partnership between the Community Governing Board and the East Tennessee State University (ETSU) College of Nursing.  The Executive Director (ED) is selected by and reports to the Board and Associate Dean for Practice and Community Partnerships.  The ED provides leadership and overall strategic planning, direction, administration of the community health centers, and applies the policies of the Board and ETSU policies and procedures.  The ED assists the Board in developing and evaluating goals of the organization.  The successful candidate must demonstrate the commitment and/or ability to follow sound business practices in budget and personnel management; work effectively with the Board, the Associate Dean, and the University Committee.  The ED ensures community awareness of and support for the centers; manages programs; develops grants and secures fiscal support; and support the college’s education, research, and practice missions.  Required:  Minimum of a MS/MA degree in business administration, healthcare administration, public health, or nursing administration; executive level management experience in community or public health care; and grants management experience.  For faculty consideration, graduate degree as an advanced practice nurse and clinic practice experience required and must be eligible for RN licensure in TN.  Preferred:  Experience in an academic setting.  Apply at https://jobs.etsu.edu  AA/EOE

We are looking for a dynamic individual with new ideas in curriculum, technology, and informatics. The College of Nursing, part of an Academic Health Science Center, has over 50 faculty and enrolls more than 850 nursing students in its BSN, MSN, and PhD programs. Candidates for the position of Director of Undergraduate Programs will demonstrate achievement in teaching, research, and service commensurate with eligibility for tenure or tenure-track appointment. The successful candidate will have communication and interpersonal skills consistent with the leadership role; the ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English; a commitment to faculty development and mentorship for teaching, research, scholarship, and practice; and demonstrated leadership ability. A minimum of five years in nursing education with experience at the baccalaureate level, and a doctorate in nursing or related field with a graduate degree in nursing are required.
