The CON Staff Award Committee is a college-wide employee team comprised of six CON staff members serving two year terms.
All CON staff/non-faculty category employees are eligible for
award nominations, except the following:
| Staff members in a probationary period at the time of nominations; |
| Staff members employed on a temporary basis; and |
| CON Staff Award Committee members, during the term of their service. |
Any CON nominee will be limited to receiving the award for no more than two consecutive years.

Procedure: |
| A call for nominations will be distributed via email, by the Chair of the Committee to all faculty and staff. |
| Nominations should be forwarded to the Chair in a confidential envelope. The committee will review CON Staff Award nominations annually. |
| The Chair will compile the nomination forms and forward information to committee members in preparation for rating and review by the Committee. |
| The Committee will confidentially review all nominations and make a recommendation to the Dean. |
| Awards will be presented at the last Faculty Council meeting of the academic year. |

Nominations: |
| Nominations should be written utilizing the CON Staff Award nomination form. |
| All nominations will remain confidential. |
| Nominations should detail the employee's outstanding contribution and demonstrated ability to work effectively with other departments and external organizations. |

Criteria: |
| Improve, add value to, or exceed the quality service expectations of internal and external clientele; or |
| Demonstrate extraordinary effort or achievement; or |
| Demonstrate collaboration to achieve or exceed college goals; or |
| Demonstrate a significant project accomplishment; or |
| Exhibit documented evidence of overall outstanding work performance (i.e., results from faculty or staff surveys, letters of praise or other documentation). |

| Certificate; |
| Name plate on centrally located multi-plate plaque; |
| Personal office plaque; |
| Monetary reward ($500); |
| Award recipient will be published in the ETSU Accent; |
| Award recipient will be featured in the CON Friday Newsletter; |
| Article about the award recipient will be posted on the CON website |
